Tips For Selling/Checklist

This is your chance to give your potential buyers a great first impression. A small amount of your time can help to give you an advantage over competing properties. The following are some suggestions for preparing your home to show it at its best advantage.

EXTERIOR APPEARANCE

• Keep any lawn trim and tidy
• Trim any shrubs and hedges
• Remove any weeds and edge the gardens
• Touch up any worn paint
• Clean up the driveway and paths, removing any oil spills
• Tidy up the garage
• Make any repairs that are needed

ENTRANCE DOOR

• Make sure the bell works
• Freshen up the paint / varnish on the front door
• Repair door locks if needed
• Sweep and clean entrance porch and hallway

CREATE THE FEELING OF SPACE

• Clear out the hallway, stairs and rooms of clutter
• Store any extra or over sized furniture
• Remove any boxes or containers
• Clear the kitchen counter and stove top, put away any fridge magnets
